Health and Safety
Terminal safety has always been an integral part of PSA SECH’s corporate philosophy and the protection of people and the environment is our priority.
Therefore, over the years, we have introduced changes and technological innovations that allow us to be at the forefront of managing the safety of people, protection of goods, materials and the environment.
Security at the PSA SECH terminal is achieved through:
- The implementation of systems to improve Access Control to protect the security of all users.
- The implementation of a new in-house professional digital communication system to ensure maximum efficiency and security of operations.
- The installation of more than 100 high-definition cameras, equipped with an internal diagnostic system, positioned at key points to ensure 24-hour monitoring of quays, perimeter areas, access gates, operating yards, storage and parking areas, even at night and in poor visibility conditions.
At the heart of PSA SECH is a strong and abiding commitment to providing internal and external staff with a safe and healthy workplace that promotes a Culture of Safety in the community in which we operate.
As an industry leader we want to be an example to follow, and our HSSE practices are continually updated, so that we can continually provide valuable assistance in managing occupational safety.
Environment
At PSA SECH we believe in the importance of taking care of the environment.
Our staff are encouraged on a daily basis to maintain environmentally friendly practices such as separate waste collection and the progressive reduction of plastic and paper.
In order to direct the company policy towards increasingly green choices, the company is committed to achieving maximum energy efficiency, following a series of investments that limit the use of fossil fuels (e.g., installation of solar panels) through the adoption of interventions aimed at the use of renewable energy sources and the reduction of energy consumption through the adoption of new technologies (e.g., LED lighting).
